Elias Bassani

Hello there! 👋

My name is Elias Bassani, and I am an AI Researcher at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, where I work on AI safety within the Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies Unit.

Prior to this, I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca. My research focused on proposing novel approaches for Personalized Search based on Neural Networks.

My work appeared in top-ranked Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing venues (EMNLP, NAACL, SIGIR, CIKM, ECIR) and Q1 Journals (Information Fusion, Transaction on Information Systems).

I have also authored multiple open-source tools in Python with a focus on efficiency and usability.
